“No time to fail" – together against COVID-19

In times of crisis it is important to stick together and to focus on the essentials. For us, this clearly includes helping to contain the further spread of the coronavirus.                

As a manufacturer of analytical components that play a key role in medical technology and for pharmaceutical manufacturers, Hellma GmbH & Co. KG has a particular responsibility to maintain its production and to win the battle against the virus as soon as possible.  Hence, we work according to the slogan: "No time to fail". What matters most now is to react fast. Concentrated, determined and with full commitment we do everything we can to contribute our part.

Why is it important to react quickly?

Diagnostics plays a crucial role in the containment of the coronavirus pandemic. The faster and more extensive suspected cases of SARS-CoV-2 infected people are diagnosed and identified, the faster we can prevent a further spread. Companies in the pharmaceutical, life science and medical technology sector work intensivly to provide new diagnostic tools. Hellma products are used in many analytical processes, such as DNA / RNA analysis, immunoassay, PCR analysis and blood analysis through flow cytometry. It is thus extremely important to maintain our production site, otherwise badly needed diagnostics can only be carried out to a limited extent.

 

Which products are in the focus?

Consequently, we focus on the production of special cytometry cuvettes, the TrayCell measuring cell for DNA / RNA analysis and micro test plates. Hellma adjusted its production to meet the greater demand of the medical sector at short notice and is currently working in two separate shifts. At the same time, well-coordinated security- and organizational measures ensure that the company does not risk being shut down by the virus itself.
