Ideally-suited for transflection measurements in process applications. The high-performance measuring head enables extremely precise and reliable measurement results. Available in diameters 6 mm and 12 mm.
Suitable for transparent or slightly turbid media
Variable path lengths eliminate the need for sample dilution
The Falcata XP model series allows the optical path lengths to be easily adjusted by means of exchangeable path length inserts. This allows different measurements to be performed without the need to dilute the sample.
Spectrum of the same sample measured with different path length inserts
Precise and reproducible measurement results
The interchangeable path length tips are screwed to a stop and thus provide a reproducible optical path length.
High Process Safety
The probe is composed of standardized components that are kept in stock. This ensures rapid availability of spare parts. This leads to higher process reliability and plant efficiency.

The combination of the Hellma Falcata XP 12 and the SensoGate or Ceramat interchangeable fitting from Knick is ideal for transflektions measurements also of slightly opaque media in the biotech, chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. It was specifically developed for processes in which deposits may accumulate on the measurement windows or where regular cleaning and calibration are necessary for condition monitoring of the PAT measurement point.
The ability to clean, calibrate, or replace probes while the process is running minimizes downtime and significantly increases process stability. This offers decisive advantages in production environments with high demands on availability, hygienic design, and process reliability.
Typical applications include:
Measurements of coatings and adhesives in continuous processes
Reaction monitoring in polymerization processes
Determination of moisture or solvent content in moist or sticky solids
Pharmaceutical applications with increased requirements for hygienic design and cleaning
Hellma offers the largest selection of products worldwide and the highest level of expertise to support your online measurements from UV to IR. Find the right measuring interface quickly and easily or configure your individual immersion probe or measurement cell.
