These transmission probes and flow cells have been specially developed for the analysis and monitoring of wet-chemical processes in the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries. They are highly corrosion-resistant, ensuring long-lasting and safe use. The probe can be used in applications involving strong acids and bases that would attack conventional materials like quartz or metal, such as in electroplating, chip manufacturing, or metal etching. The monolithic sapphire measurement head guarantees the highest transmission and reproducibility. Various designs allow measurements to be made inline or in bypass.
This probe’s design matches the standard connections of extruders, allowing direct integration and enabling continuous measurement without sample removal. The measuring fingers are available in two versions for transmission or reflection measurements.
Thanks to the use of sapphire measurement heads and special sealing technologies, they are highly resistant to high pressures and temperatures, making them ideal for the demanding conditions in extruders.
All parts of this probe that come into contact with media are made of high-purity, temperature-resistant quartz glass. The monolithic measurement head is manufactured using a special process called bonding. Using the same process, it is sealed liquid-tight to the probe tube, ensuring the highest precision. By completely eliminating sealing materials, the probe offers exceptional resistance to aggressive acids and media. When equipped with a vacuum connection, the probe can be used at temperatures as low as –180 °C. The beam diameter in the sample gap is unusually large, allowing easy measurement of even turbid solutions.
Depending on the version, the probe is also suitable for applications with the highest hygienic requirements, such as in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
