With the expansion of the partnership, the joint solution comprising a probe and retractable fitting will also be marketed globally.

Hellma and Knick expand their sales partnership to international markets and add new product bundles

Following the successful launch of their sales partnership in Germany in 2024, Hellma and Knick are now extending their collaboration to Austria, Spain, France, and the United States. Selected Knick products will now also be distributed through Hellma's global subsidiaries. At the same time, the partnership is being expanded to include additional products, enabling both companies to offer integrated solutions for demanding spectroscopic process analytics applications worldwide.

Through this cooperation, Hellma further strengthens its position in applications with high requirements for process safety, cleanability, and plant availability. Knick's insertion and retractable fittings perfectly complement the Hellma portfolio and can soon be selected and configured via the Hellma Probe and Measurement Configurator ("Hellma Configurator").

Efficient Solutions for Challenging Process Conditions

The combination of Hellma spectroscopy probes and Knick insertion fittings is particularly well suited for applications in the bioprocess, chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The solution is specifically designed for processes where deposits may form on optical windows or where regular cleaning and referencing are required to monitor the condition of the PAT measurement point.

The ability to clean, reference, or replace probes during ongoing operation minimizes downtime and significantly improves process stability. This provides substantial advantages in production environments with stringent requirements for availability, hygienic design, and process safety.

Typical applications include:

  • Monitoring coatings and adhesives in continuous processes
  • Reaction monitoring in polymerization processes
  • Determining moisture or solvent content in wet or sticky solids
  • Pharmaceutical applications with increased requirements for hygienic design and cleaning

Seamless Integration and Coordinated Project Execution

The close technical and commercial collaboration between Hellma and Knick ensures streamlined ordering and project execution, as well as reliable compatibility and application-specific performance of the components used.

The coordinated design of the spectroscopy probe and insertion fitting enables easy integration into existing processes and efficient commissioning of the measurement point. As a result, customers benefit from increased process efficiency, reduced risks, and improved plant availability.
